Hip-Hop|Club Banger Reviews (21) [May 2011 Part 1]

It's been exactly two years since I started this blog. This blog was really meant for me and for anyone else who wanted to stay updated in the Hip-Hop/Club music scene.

I just want to say thanks to each and every one of you who have continued to show support for the past couple of years and for everyone who just happened to find my blog and just stuck around with me. I will continue to update this blog and inspire to be the best club music blog out there. 120,000+ views and still going strong.

The month of April was a little bit slow for the club scene. There weren't that many hit singles out there. And most of the songs I heard on the radio I already reviewed. So I am going to add a blast from the past section once I'm done with the newer hits. Basically I will add a few songs from the past - 2008 in this section. Yeah 2008 isn't really that far back, but if you think about it that's three years ago. Some people weren't even born then. Here's hoping that May will cook up something juicy. Plus the summer is just around the corner.

A summer hit for sure. A new club banger from no other than David Guetta. Again. There wouldn't be a dance track without Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj again does her thing. Summer can't come soon enough. This one is a definite download to get your heart pumpin'.

Can't get enough of the Cataracs. They were the ones that produced this song. I'm not sure where this song would be without them. A combination of New Boyz and Chris Brown makes this a hit. This will definitely get a lot of radio play and you will be hearing this track in the clubs.

Don't be fooled by the score. This track is hot. Even though this isn't really a club banger I had to include this track in my review. It's just a really inspiring track and will get you pumped up. I would definitely remix this track and include it in my list for parties. I highly recommend this.

To be honest I really wasn't feeling this song when I first heard it. After listening to it for awhile and hearing it on the radio I change my mind. It really is a pretty catchy song and it definitely grows on you. Will Jennifer Lopez make a comeback? Mmmm. Not sure. But this song sure does help. You will hear this song remixed to death and put in other mixes. Worth the download if you haven't already.

Lastability - 3.5/5

Now this is what a slow banger should be. When your talkin' about a smooth and sexy song this is it. This song has so much swag. Kelly Rowland is perfect in this song. The only thing I'm not too crazy about is Lil Wayne is in this. I'd rather have someone else like Trey Songz or Tank. But he doesn't ruin it too much. When your looking to slow down the club and get things heated this is the song.

This is a great club song. Ne-Yo just makes this song that much better. This one has been getting club play quite a bit and it is a great launch into the summer mixes. Definitely worth the download.

I'm a big fan of Craig David. So when he's in a song it's usually a good one. And this song doesn't disappoint. Very catchy beat and a very good dance song. Remady does a great job with this song and don't be surprised when your humming this song even when it isn't playing.

Lastability - 3.5/5

I am quite surprised that T-Pain came out with this track. I would have expected something a bit different from him. Does that mean this track sucks? Nah. It's actually very very good. Not exactly a club banger, but I can see them playing this song at certain points of the night. I really like the rock ballad at the end of the track it sets a different type of feel. A definite download.

Not bad. Not bad. Not the best song, but I do like his flow and I think he's gonna be an up and coming artist. It's a forgettable club banger, but while it's here why not play it. Put it in your playlist if your looking for something non-mainstream.

Just a fun song to get everyone involved on the dance floor. It might not be as *cool* now, but it will always be a favorite among people who just like to have fun. Keep it in your play list. You'll need it some day. Trust me.

As the sun comes out. People wear less and less clothing. And this is the perfect song for that occasion. Has a really catchy beat and a catchy hook. If you haven't heard this song before then this is a must download. A great summer song.
