Alexandra Stan feat. Carlprit - 1,000,000  ~ 93 bpm
Release Date: Oct. 2011

Club/Party - 3.5/5
The Ladies - 5/5
Lastability - 3/5

I would describe this song as cute and fun. It really has a happy go lucky feel to it. This is one of Alexandra Stan's songs from her new album. I can't really recommend her full album as their aren't that many new songs on it. And some of the songs are just remixes. This particular song though I really enjoy. Great as a mash-up.

Now here's a slow banger. I haven't heard from 8ball and MJG in awhile. The collaboration with all these hip-hop artists and the smooth beats reminds me of the good old days. If you need good slow bangers on your playlist. This one should be on it. Big ups to Big K.R.I.T. for this one.

I already recommended this club banger before. But what do you know? Reeeeemix. And it's with Nicki Minaj. So I have to recommend it yet again. Nicki Minaj is diiiirty in this one. But that's why we like her right? She just made this club banger even more bangin'. Put this on your playlist. Now.

Bow Wow feat. Lil Wayne - Sweat ~ 154 bpm*

Club/Party - 4.5/5
The Ladies - 1/5
Lastability - 4/5

Wow. No pun intended. This track is hot. I can't believe I'm saying this about anything Bow Wow puts out. But this track is definitely a club banger. Both him and Lil Wayne really tears this track up. Great production on this one. DJs will have fun with this one.

Common - Blue Sky ~ 92 bpm
Release Date: Oct. 2011

Club/Party - 3/5
The Ladies - 2/5
Lastability - 4/5

Now this one isn't a really a club banger. But this can be great as a remix or mash-up. I'm really just giving props to Common for this track. I've always enjoyed his tracks and this one is just beautiful. This is a definite download if you love hip-hop/rap in general.

Another hit from Drake. He's doing his thing like he usually does. And again another great collaboration with Nicki Minaj. She is everywhere now. Whether you like it or not she's going to be in the game for the long haul. There always needs to be more female hip-hop artists. Have this on your playlist.

Kidz in the Hall feat. Bun B. & David Banner - Pour It Up ~ 89 bpm*
Release Date: Oct. 2011

icon icon

Club/Party - 3/5
The Ladies - 1/5
Lastability - 3/5

I have to say the beat is pretty sick on this track. This is more of a chillin' at home or bumpin' in your your car track. Both Bun B. and David Banner outshine Kidz in the Hall in this one. It's not saying that's a bad thing. They just make this track that much better. Check it out.

Roscoe Dash - Good Good Night ~ 160 bpm*
Release Date: Oct. 2011

icon icon

Club/Party - 5/5
The Ladies - 1/5
Lastability - 4/5

If I was to recommend one track that you have to bump for the night. It would be this one. This is a crazy club banger. The bass is craaazy in this one. You better have good speakers for this one. Or it won't do it justice. DJs - this is a must. Much props to Roscoe Dash.

T.I. feat. Big K.R.I.T. - I'm Flexin' ~ 149 bpm*
Release Date: Oct. 2011

icon icon

Club/Party - 3/5
The Ladies - 1/5
Lastability - 3.5/5

You can't talk about hip hop without including T.I. in the mix. He's back and he's about to tear the scene up with his southern swagger. This track shows that he has not lost any of his talents since he's been gone. Definite download if you like T.I.

If you wanna really want to get someone in the mood. Play this song. Tank really has the love making music down. Kris Stephens really compliments Tank in this song. No pun intended. This is definitely for the ladies. Everyone should have this song in their playlist.

Too Short feat. E-40 - Money on the Floor ~ 96 bpm*
Release Date: Oct. 2011

icon icon

Club/Party - 3.5/5
The Ladies - 1/5
Lastability - 3/5

Another Money on the Floor track. Hmm I guess that's the theme for this month. This one by Too Short is a bit disappointing. I thought Blow the Whistle was bangin'. But this one is just kind of mediocre. It will get the people dancin', but other than that average at best. Download if you need something on your playlist.

Trav feat. Lloyd Banks & Juelz Santana - Ride the Wave ~ 96 bpm*
Release Date: Oct. 2011

icon icon

Club/Party - 3.5/5
The Ladies - 1/5
Lastability - 3/5

This track is not bad at all. I really like the featured artists in this one. Lloyd Banks and Juelz Santana kind of fell off for awhile. But I'm glad to hear from them again. Trav on the other hand is alright. His voice is kind of annoying. I wouldn't be able to listen to him for long periods of time. A forgettable club banger. But it does its job.

Travis Porter - You Don't Know 'Bout It ~ 132 bpm*
Release Date: Oct. 2011

icon icon

Club/Party - 3.5/5
The Ladies - 1/5
Lastability - 3/5

This is another forgettable club banger. But like I said it gets the job done. These tracks I call 'in-betweeners'. There tracks that are mixed in between tracks that are better. They still get the club dancin', but if you need to take a break from dancin' your not missing out on the hotter hits. Download if you need some new tunes.

Tyga feat. Drake - Still Got It ~ 95 bpm*
Release Date: Oct. 2011

icon icon

Club/Party - 3.5/5
The Ladies - 2/5
Lastability - 3.5/5

Tyga is growing on me. His earlier work I wasn't too impressed, but he is maturing as in artist. And some of his latest music shows that. Including this slow banger featured Drake. Again Drake does what he does as a featuring artist, but Tyga is the star in this one. Good flows and good beats. Definite download.

Verse Simmonds feat. Kelly Rowland - Boo Thang ~ 125 bpm*
Release Date: Sept. 2011

icon icon

Club/Party - 3.5/5
The Ladies - 4/5
Lastability - 4/5

This song is really good. Slow banger for sure. I have to say right now that I think Kelly Rowland has surpassed Beyonce as in artist. Every song that she's been in is a real treat and I hope to hear more from her. Verse Simmonds has a very well made track in his hands. Definite download.

Release Date: Oct. 2011

icon icon

Club/Party - 3/5
The Ladies - 1/5
Lastability - 3.5/5

Laid back party song. That's what this track exudes. Young, Wild & Free. Just a fun song to party to. Snoop Dogg isn't young, but hey he still parties. Wiz Khalifa does his thing and Bruno Mars again does the hook.

Yelawolf feat. Lil Jon - Hard White (Up in the Club) ~ 151 bpm*
Release Date: Aug. 2011

icon icon

Club/Party - 4/5
The Ladies - 1/5
Lastability - 3.5/5

This track goes hard. I have to give props to Yelawolf for this one. If you wanna go crazy and wild at the club. This one is the one to bump. Lil Jon in the back screamin' like usual. Recommended.

Album Review

There are no hip-hop/dance/pop albums for this month to review. But here are a few albums I still recommend downloading.

icon
If you love R&B at its finest this album won't disappoint. Boys II Men have done it again. Smooth vocals, soft and melo sounds makes this a treat to your ears.

If you need an album to make love to. This is the one. Joe shows what R&B is all about in a very sensual way.
